The 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) once again lived up to its reputation as the world’s premier in-water boating event. Held from October 29 through November 2, the show brought together over 100,000 visitors, more than 1,000 exhibitors, and roughly 1,300 vessels across seven waterfront locations. From superyachts to center consoles, eco-friendly innovations to luxury lifestyle showcases, FLIBS delivered a strong reflection of the current and future direction of the marine industry.
This year’s show placed major emphasis on technology and sustainability, two areas that continue to reshape modern boating. Hybrid propulsion systems, hydrogen concepts, lighter carbon-fiber hulls, and advanced solar integration were among the standout themes. Manufacturers showcased their newest tech-forward models, highlighting quieter rides, cleaner emissions, and smarter onboard systems. Brands also unveiled upgraded marine electronics, digital helm integrations, and premium audio packages, all designed to enhance the on-water experience.
The ultra-luxury segment remained a major draw, with superyachts and mega-yachts attracting global attention. Vessels over 200 feet packed the docks, offering a look at the latest in high-end design, custom interiors, and cutting-edge engineering. Meanwhile, more accessible models also gained traction, signaling that the boating market continues to appeal to both seasoned yacht buyers and younger, first-time boat owners.
Beyond the boats, FLIBS leaned heavily into the coastal lifestyle that defines South Florida. Guests enjoyed live demonstrations, gourmet food pavilions, automotive showcases, family-friendly activations, and immersive brand experiences that stretched from the Bahia Mar docks to the Broward County Convention Center. The show once again reinforced Fort Lauderdale as the Yachting Capital of the World and generated an estimated $1.7–$1.8 billion economic impact for the region.
With strong attendance, significant product launches, and a clear push toward innovation, the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show closed on a high note. As the industry looks ahead to 2026, FLIBS continues to set the tone for global boating trends and remains one of the most influential events for buyers, builders, and marine professionals alike.
