Proficient Marine is bringing the shop to you. We are excited to announce that we now offer mobile marine service throughout Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and the rest of South Florida. If your boat lives at your home or on a private dock, our mobile marine mechanic can come to you for repairs, maintenance, electrical work, and installs, so you can skip the trailer and the trip to the shop.
We have also expanded our outboard work. Alongside routine maintenance, we now handle complete outboard engine repair, from diagnostics and fuel system problems to lower unit and powerhead work.
What Is Mobile Marine Service?
Mobile marine service simply means a qualified marine mechanic comes to your boat instead of you bringing the boat to a shop. Our technician arrives with the tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment needed to complete most jobs right at the dock.
For many South Florida boaters, this is a big deal. Trailering a boat takes time, and plenty of boats in Broward County never leave the water at all. With dockside boat service, your boat stays where it is and the work gets done around your schedule.
Services We Can Perform at Your Dock
Most of what we do in the shop, we can now do dockside. That includes:
- Mobile outboard repair: no-start and overheating issues, fuel system problems, lower unit and tilt & trim repairs, and computer diagnostics.
- Dockside outboard maintenance: 100-hour and annual services, oil and filter changes, gearcase service, spark plugs, water pumps, and thermostats.
- Marine electrical and rewiring: batteries, charging systems, switch panels, bilge pumps, and troubleshooting.
- Electronics and accessory installs: chartplotters, transducers, VHF radios, lighting, trolling motors, and Power-Poles.
- Pre-trip and pre-purchase inspections: a full once-over before a Bahamas run, a tournament, or buying a used boat.
Where We Travel
Our mobile marine mechanic serves homes, private docks, and marina slips across Broward County and southern Palm Beach County. That includes Fort Lauderdale and the Las Olas Isles, Pompano Beach, Lighthouse Point, Hillsboro, Oakland Park, Wilton Manors, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Hollywood, Dania Beach, and Hallandale Beach. If your boat is at a dock in South Florida, there is a good chance we can come to you.
Larger Boats and Haul-Outs
Some jobs still require the boat to be out of the water. For vessels that are too large or too tall for our shop trailers, we now work exclusively with one local partner boatyard where we can haul out and complete bottom work, lower unit service, and larger repairs.
Please note that we service boats at your home or private dock, or at our partner yard only. We do not perform work at other boatyards or marina service departments.
